Absolutely! You may apply for this scholarship as long as you still fulfill all the eligibility requirements.

How are recipients selected, and what criteria does the committee consider?
Recipients are selected by a scholarship committee that reviews each application based on the eligibility requirements and overall strength of the submission. The committee considers academic performance, involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and the quality of the applicant’s essay responses. Please ensure you are writing a seperate response for each question. Particular emphasis is placed on leadership, initiative, financial need, and alignment with the values represented by Ken Verkler’s legacy of community commitment and personal drive.
When will I be notified if I am selected for the scholarship?
All applicants will receive an email in June with the status of their application.
How are funds distributed to recipients?
Scholarship awardees will receive their funds in the form of a check issued directly to them.
